Given your requirements:
- Acceptable quality level (AQL)
- Producer's risk (alpha) of rejecting a lot whose quality is acceptable
- Rejectable quality level or lot tolerance percent defective (LTPD)
- Consumer's risk (beta) of accepting a lot whose quality is unacceptable
Given a lot size N, sample size n, and acceptance number c, the program can generate an operating characteristic curve: a plot of the chance of acceptance (PA) as a function of the nonconforming fraction (p) in the lot. It also shows the average outgoing quality (AOQ) curve.
If the inspection cost and the penalty cost of shipping nonconforming units are provided, the program can also show the acceptance sampling plan's cost (versus the costs of no sampling and 100 percent inspection/testing).
Changes (8/2/99)
- Correction of a bug that causes the OC curve generator to not allow an acceptance number of zero; the OC curve routine will now do this.
- The program now allows the user to save the OC curve and economics graph as bitmap (.bmp) files, e.g. for printing or insertion into word processing documents.

Resolution 4:
This error occurs because the Visual Basic 5.0 Run-time Library (MSVBVM50.DLL)
is not installed. This will most likely occur if the Internet Explorer
safety level is set to High. Set the Internet Explorer safety level to
Medium or None.
The program has been marked as safe for initialization and scripting. It cannot read or write your hard drive. If such capability is added later (e.g. the ability to create a Word for Windows document with figures, for printing), it will not write to your hard drive unless you initiate the action ("save as Word document," for example).
