The position will be located at our clients new 250k square foot state of the art manufacturing and distribution facility located just outside of Our client is a 250 million dollar wholly owned subsidiary of a $billion publicly traded corporation. The company employs in excess of 1300 employees at 14 locations across the Reporting to the Operations Manager, the QA Supervisor will be responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production and for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The plant is involved in hi-volume manual assembly operations. This person will be responsible for all aspects of quality from incoming raw material through production to final shipment. Duties include: · Conducting audits and reviewing/analyzing data and documentation · Overseeing testing of processes and products · Coaching on cost reductions, process improvements, customer complaints, company products, product applications, product specs, quality system procedures, and external standards such as ISO-9001. · Analysis of QA inspection results and leading a team toward continuous improvement efforts. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the Quality field and be familiar with a variety of QA concepts, practices, and procedures. Must have prior supervisory experience as well as outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with all employees and managers. An Associate’s degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Background should include Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Analysis, ISO training, as well as proficiency in MS Office and Access programs. Qualifications: - BS degree or equivalent - Six Sigma Black Belt - ASQ Certified Quality Manger and Certified Quality Engineer preferred - 3 - 5 years in a quality management role - Experience leading Six sigma training and projects - Experience with concepts and implementation of Lean Manufacturing Philosophy - Strong proficiency in written and oral communications, including presentations to management and customers. -Must be able to manage multiple projects and tasks.
